       九寨沟——世界自然遗产、世界生物圈保护区、国家级自然保护区、国家重点风景名胜区、国家AAAAA级旅游景区,因其独特的美学价值、丰富的生物多样性和深厚的藏文化被誉为“童话世界”。联合国教科文组织亚太地区世界遗产培训与研究中心是从事世界遗产研究和培训教育的联合国教科文组织二类机构,其北京分中心依托于北京大学的综合学术平台,致力于亚太地区世界文化与自然遗产的保护与发展。为推动九寨沟世界遗产保护管理,培养未来的世界遗产青年,九寨沟世界遗产管理局与联合国教科文组织亚太地区世界遗产培训与研究中心北京分中心联合发起“国际志愿者”招募,共同参与九寨沟世界遗产的保护管理工作。  

2.招募单位

3.招募要求

       3.1 全球范围内在读大学生(本科/硕士/博士);

       3.2 专业符合岗位要求;

       3.3 身心健康,无重大身体疾病;

       3.4 尊重当地法律与文化习俗,服从九寨沟世界遗产管理局管理。

4.工作内容

       4.1 环境监测。协助对九寨沟的水文、水质、气象等指标开展定期监测;

       4.2 自然教育。参与设计九寨沟自然教育课程或活动、组织实地活动等工作;

       4.3 生物多样性巡护。参与生物多样性监测和数据分析;

       4.4 科普宣传。参与九寨沟的科普活动策划和组织;

       4.5 遥感测绘。对九寨沟的核心遗产点开展测绘和数据分析;

       4.6 宣传营销。参与九寨沟的对外宣传和营销活动的组织。

5.服务地点及时间

       服务地点:九寨沟世界遗产地(需驻地)

       服务时间: 2026年6月-10月(期间任意3-4周即可)

6.志愿者福利

       6.1 获得联合国教科文组织亚太地区世界遗产培训与研究中心(北京)与九寨沟世界遗产管理局联合颁发的志愿者证书;

       6.2 有机会与世界遗产领域专家交流学习或参加世界遗产工作坊、研讨会等;

       6.3 志愿者在九寨沟服务期间的食宿由主办单位承担,并每个月提供一定的生活补助。  

       6.4 主办单位为志愿者购买服务期间意外保险。

7.报名流程及录用

       7.2 主办单位将于5月15日公布进入面试名单。未进入面试环节的报名者不再另行通知。

       7.3 主办单位将于5月20日前公布最终名单(6名)。

Jiuzhaigou Global Recruitment for World Heritage Conservation Volunteers

1.Background

       Jiuzhaigou—a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, a World Biosphere Reserve, a National-level Nature Reserve, a National Key Scenic Area, and a National AAAAA-Level Tourist Attraction—is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, rich biodiversity, and deep-rooted Tibetan culture. Often referred to as a “Fairyland.” To advance the conservation and management of the Jiuzhaigou World Heritage Site and cultivate the next generation of World Heritage professionals, the Jiuzhaigou Heritage Administration and the UNESCO Asia-Pacific World Heritage Training and Research Centre, Beijing have jointly launched the “International Volunteer Program.”

       The World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for the Asia and the Pacific Region (WHITR-AP) is a Category II Centre of UNESCO dedicated to world heritage research and training. WHITR-AP Beijing, supported by the comprehensive academic platform of Peking University, is committed to the conservation and development of world cultural and natural heritage in the Asia-Pacific region. Through this joint initiative, the two organizations are recruiting young volunteers from around the world to participate in the conservation and management of the Jiuzhaigou World Heritage Site.

2. Organization Units

       Organizer: Jiuzhaigou Heritage Administration

       Guiding Institution: World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for the Asia and the Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO, Beijing (WHITR-AP Beijing)

3. Eligibility Requirements

       3.1 Open to university students (undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral) from around the world;

       3.2 Majors must be relevant to the position requirements;

       3.3 Physically and mentally healthy, with no major medical conditions;

       3.4 Willingness to respect local cultural traditions and comply with Jiuzhaigou Heritage Administration regulations.

4. Responsibilities

       4.1 Environmental Monitoring. Assist in the regular monitoring of hydrological, water quality, and meteorological indicators in Jiuzhaigou;

       4.2 Nature Education. Participate in the design of nature education courses or activities in Jiuzhaigou, and organize field activities;

       4.3 Biodiversity Patrol. Participate in biodiversity monitoring and data analysis;

       4.4 Science Communication. Participate in the planning and organization of science communication activities in Jiuzhaigou;

       4.5 Remote Sensing and Mapping. Conduct mapping and data analysis of core heritage sites in Jiuzhaigou;

       4.6 Marketing. Participate in the organization of external publicity and marketing activities for Jiuzhaigou.

5. Location and Duration

       Location: Jiuzhaigou World Heritage Site (on-site residency required)

       Duration: June – October 2026 (any 3–4 weeks during this period)

6. Volunteer Benefits

       6.1 Receive a volunteer certificate jointly issued by the WHITR-AP Beijing and the Jiuzhaigou Heritage Administration;

       6.2 Have the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from experts in the field of World Heritage or participate in World Heritage workshops, seminars, etc.;

       6.3 The host organization will provide food, accommodation, and a monthly living allowance during the volunteer period in Jiuzhaigou;

       6.4 The organizing committee will purchase accident insurance for volunteers for the duration of their service.

7. Application and Selection Process

       7.2 The host organization will announce the list of candidates selected for interviews on May 15. Applicants not selected for interviews will not be notified separately;

       7.3 The host organization will announce the final list (6 volunteers) by May 20.

8. Additional Information

       8.1 This is a non-profit volunteer program, and no fees will be charged at any stage;

       8.2 The Jiuzhaigou Heritage Administration reserves the right to the final interpretation of this recruitment announcement.
